There are various activities available within the local area depending upon your particular interest.

We have a drying  room and storage facilities on site and  gun safes installed in  bedrooms

We can cater for all your meal requirements during your stay, offering packed lunches for stalkers and late breakfasts for wildfowlers  
 
 
Golf

There are enough golf courses within an hour's drive to keep the most keenest golfer busy, including Tain and Royal Dornoch. We can supply full contact details of courses. 
Fell/Mountain Walking

There are a good selection of northern corbetts and munros within easy reach of the hotel.
Forest Walks

Local to the hotel there are a selection of forest walks for all abilities. Also within the local area are good selection of other walks, along rivers, beaches or the coast.
Fly Fishing/Sea Fishing

The fly fishermen are well catered for with various firths, rivers and lochs all well known for the sport they offer. We can advise where to buy permits etc. Also sea fishing available from Portmahomack can be arranged.
Stalking

We can arrange for a day on the hill stalking locally or put you in touch with a deer-stalker from the Balnagowan Estate (stays in Edderton so ideal for pick up etc).  We have a drying room within the hotel for the wet clothes.
Wildfowling

A popular pastime during the winter months is wildfowling. Locally you can shoot geese (pinks and greys) on the foreshore at Edderton bay or across the water at Skibo or travel 8 miles to Nigg bay . Also available locally are widgeon, teal and mallard.
Cycling

The Inn is located just off the North Sea cycle path (a path running along the coast of each country bordering the North sea 6100kms) as well as the main A9 running north to John O'Groats. We have secure covered facilities for bikes and equipment.
Mountain Biking

Located at Golspie (14 miles) is a new mountain bike track which offers trails for all abilities. Also around Edderton there are various tracks with exceptional views over the Dornoch Firth.
4X4 Off Road Driving
4X4 off road driving
We can arrange or provide contact details for a session of off road driving in Land Rovers in and around Edderton. You can use your own vehicle or hire one for a session. The centre provides all levels of skill/capability on different circuits locally.
Horse Riding

We can put you in contact with a centre in Bonar Bridge (10 miles) which offers riding lessons or hire for a ride through the forest/hills.
